Keldsen Dental Care and our Shining Stars Preschool Field Trip!

April 10th, 2014

Dr. Keldsen and our team at Keldsen Dental Care always make an effort to teach our youngest patients the importance of good oral hygiene. We want to make sure children start their healthy hygiene habits early, and set themselves up for a lifetime of good oral health!

Every March, the kids at Shining Stars Preschool take a trip to our office and we teach them more about why they need to visit the dentist! For example, we went over why it's important to take care of your teeth. When asked how long they should brush, all the kids were quick to answer "2 minutes twice a day," to which Dr. Keldsen made sure to add "at least!" We also covered flossing, and they showed us their skills by putting playdough between megablocks using yarn as the floss!

Dr. Keldsen also let them experience what it was like to be a dentist. He not only explained what happens when they visit the dentist so that they are familiar and aren't as afraid, but he also let everyone take turns being the dentist and being the patient!

We like educating children about oral health, and always look forward to our yearly visit from Shining Stars Preschool!

Enter in our Valentine's Day Contest!

February 10th, 2014

Can you feel it - there's romance in the air! February is a month all about feeling the love, and Keldsen Family Dental Care wants to help you celebrate it! From now through the 13th, stop by our office and guess how many candy hearts are in the jar at our front desk!

The closest guess (without going over of course) will walk away with a movie night! Two passes to Regal Cinemas and a $25 gift certificate to the Old Mill on Valentine's Day? Not to shabby, right?!

There are a few rules of course - one entry per person, and you must pick up your prize in the office. However, you don't have to guess the number of candies in the jar - you can also guess on our Facebook page! The winner will be announced February 13th, so keep an eye on our Facebook page and on your phone - we hope it's you!
